Playful, cosy and sophisticated may be unusual words to describe a luxury designer furniture brand yet perfectly describe the newest furniture collection to arrive in Perth this May. The Arketipo Collection of sofas, armchairs and accessories, exclusive to Contempo Perth, proves that playfulness and sophistication can blend with comfort to complement any design-conscious space. Arketipo first captured the attention of Jonathon and Lillie Bull, owners of Contempo Perth, at Maison & Objet in 2012.

“We were inspired by their focus on sofas as the centrepiece of the home, as central to the architecture of well designed living and entertaining spaces whilst remaining very connected to their function.”
After working hard over the last few months to bring this luxury Italian brand to Western Australia, the Arketipo Collection arrives in the Contempo Perth showroom early May.

“We are thrilled to bring Arketipo to Perth.  The brand combines sophisticated style with comfort to create pieces perfect for living.  The Arketipo Collection focuses on ‘spaces for enjoying life’ and fits well with our ethos of contemporary comfort.”

Renowned designers Carlo Bimbi, Christophe Pillet, Massimo Lorusso and Adrian Piazzesi have all contributed to the Arketipo Collection. Based in Calenzano, Florence, Arketipo specialise in high-end luxury sofas, armchairs and accessories.  A member of the Industrial Design Association (ADI), Arketipo’s focus on designing ‘spaces for enjoying life’ ensures that all pieces are functional as well as design conscious.  Using only high quality materials  such as non-deformable polyurethane, feather down, full grain leather, innovative fabrics, hardwoods and tempered glass, Arketipo’s stunning, contemporary designs are also hard-wearing, making them suitable for both residential and commercial spaces. The Arketipo Collection breathes fresh, contemporary comfort into the Perth luxury furniture market. Immerse yourself in the Arketipo Collection at Contempo Perth, 2/22 King Edward Road in Osborne Park.

Life is moving outside at Contempo

Media Release

7 February 2012

Having returned from Maison & Objet in Europe husband-and-wife owners Lillie and Jonathon Bull will soon be adding the latest Cane-line product release the ‘Shape’ to their new Osborne Park showroom.

"In Europe we met with the CEO of Cane-line Brian Djernes who acknowledged the great relationship that Contempo has built with the brand over the last few years with Australian’s embracing the beautiful Danish designs. Cane-line is focused on the trend of moving the quality and comfort of indoor living outside," says Lille Bull.

Contempo believes it is this coming together of wicker traditions and solid craftsmanship, with a clever modern aesthetic that makes the designs so adaptable to contemporary living spaces. New materials continue to drive Cane-line forward, however the timeless essence remains untouched. Quality and comfort are the priority, no matter whether it is transparent wicker or the high-tech Tex material that can withstand the various weather conditions in various climates. Cane-line designers live by the pragmatic Danish design maxim, where comfort and function are just as important as appearance.

"We want to sit well and preferably stylishly when we finally have time off from responsibilities and things to do – regardless of whether it is just a few moments of quiet time or social interaction is at the core. That is exactly what we mean by Life Made Comfortable" says Brian Djernes, CEO of Cane-line.

The Shape uses textilene weave and is based on modular seating and resembles the flow in configuration. It will be available in-store at Contempo early March 2012.
